Video to .GIF Signature Tutorial


Requirements:

Vegas is optional but you DO have to have a video editing program that can render to .MOV

(1) [ Rendering ]

1. Open up your video on Vegas
2. Select the section of the video you want to transform into a Small .gif
ex:user posted image

3. Click: File>Render As
4. Change settings to this:

(2) [Converting]

1.Open ImageReady
2.Click: File>Open>yourmovie.mov
3. After the window opens change the seeting to these:

click okay

(3) [Resizing]
1. After Imageready reads the document, Click this button:

it will send the document to phostoshop where you can add the effect you want on top of the video, like your name, emblem or whatever.
2.LInk all the layers from the animation only

3. Once all the layers are linked, click: Edit>Free Transform
4. Click, Hold and drag the one of the 4 corners as displayed on the image above towards the middle to make it smaller.
5. Once you have the desired size, Make a selection with the marquee tool (by clicking and dragging) of the Square that you want your video to be like. ( so you will select a part of the image and some will be deleted)
6. while the image is selected, click: Image>Crop

(4) [Adding Effects]

--MAke new layers for the effects and make sure the effects are on top of the rest of the layers which are the frames for the gif image.--
ex: user posted image

(5) [Finishing]

1. Once you are done adding stuff on photoshop, click the button you used to transfer the file from imageready to photoshop but it will be from photoshop to imageready now.
2. Imageready will open.
3. Click the very last frame on the animation window, then click the tween button.
ex: user posted image

4.then change the settings to these and click ok:

5. Now Click: File>Save OPTIMIZED as (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S)
6. Name it and click SAVE
